KARACHI, Dec 30: Commuters travelling by Metro buses to and from Malir faced hardship as law-enforcement agencies, reportedly, did not allow these buses to run on Monday.

Police and rangers were deployed on the roads leading to Malir Cantt. These roads were closed to the public because of the visit of the President Pervez Musharraf to Malir Cantt.

Commuters complained that the Metro bus service did not operate on Monday from Malir. They had to walk to Sharea Faisal to catch buses and taxis.

They said public transport on Sharea Faisal near Malir Cantt was thin. Police and rangers had set up roadblocks at various places on the road.
