LSE elections

LAHORE, Dec 28: The ruling group in the Lahore Stock Exchange on Saturday swept the elections as all of its five candidates elected as LSE member directors for the year 2003.

The only candidate fielded by Seth Abid Group, Arif Majeed, could not be elected. He secured 35 votes.

The winning candidates are: Dr Arsalan (87 votes), Group Capt (Retd) Naeem Khan (85 votes), Ghulfam Ahmad Khan Sherwani (85 votes), Mirza Jehanzeb (85 votes) and Haji Ghani Haji Usman (82 votes).

It may be mentioned that the LSE has a 10-member board under the new rules announced by the SECP.
