Terrorism needs dialogue

Published September 1, 2012

WAR on terror should now be ended as it has taken a heavy toll of human lives.

The loss is incalculable and heart - wrenching. The violence has made people’s lives miserable.

With each passing day the situation worsens. The US strategy of eliminating terrorists with drone attacks is causing more harm than good.

It is time both the United States of America and Pakistan made human - friendly policies, initiated peace - keeping and counselling and awareness programmes to deal with the problem.

This issue can be dealt with on political and diplomatic grounds, because the people of Pakistan and the United States of Amercia want this war to end now because it is they who are the main victims of terrorism.
