KARACHI, Aug 17: The second special Eid train, with 890 passengers on board, left the Cantonment station for Rawalpindi on Friday.
General manager (operation) Junaid Qureshi said on the occasion that Railways operated three special trains this year despite resource constraints.
The first special Eid train had left the Cantt station on Thursday with 780 passengers on board while the third Eid special will run from Peshawar to Lahore on Saturday.
Divisional superintendent Anzar Ismail Rizvi said this year more stringent measures had been taken to check black marketing oftickets.
He said in both special Eid trains, better facilities of light, water and wash rooms had been provided.—APP
