KARACHI, Dec 22: Sindh Chief Secretary K. B. Rind has urged private schools to reduce fees, provide books and uniforms free of cost to students for promotion of education in the country.
Speaking at a Jauhar day programme, organized at the New City Grammar School in Yasinabad on Sunday, he said that managements of private schools should initiate a programme for the welfare of students to negate the negative impression that education has become a profit-making business.
Paying tribute to Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar, he said that the great leader waged a war against the imperial forces and rendered his life for the cause of truth.
He asked the students to follow the example of the great leader and pursue their education with dedication and devotion for a bright future.—APP
