ISLAMABAD, Aug 12: Islamabad-based writers and intellectuals on Sunday paid tributes to Shamsherul Haideri, a scholar, writer, poet and dramatist who passed away on Friday in Karachi.

In a literary reference held in the memory of Shamsehul Haideri under the auspices of Pakistan Intellectual Forum (PIF) Chapter, Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Qasim Rind said that his death was a great loss for Sindh and humanity.

Hashim Abro of the PIF said Shamsher articulated the voice of the deprived and denied people of Sindh.

“Despite his ailing physical condition he was a true manifestation of the narration: “A believer's sadness rests in his heart while his cheerfulness appears on his face,” he said.—A Reporter
