KARACHI, Dec 21: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has urged the concerned parties to amicably resolve the issue relating to the Institute of Behavioural Sciences, so that people could resume getting the IBS services.

In a statement on Saturday, the PMA expressed concern over what it said the unwarranted siege of the mental healthcare facility and harassment of solace-providers at the institute.

The statement added that the institute had been providing a unique specialized service to the mentally disturbed people.

It said that any attempt to register the IBS as a separate legal entity or changing its charter would lead to an irreparable loss to the institute.
