ISLAMABAD Dec 19: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said here on Wednesday that his government as well as the four provincial governments would complete five-year terms by setting an example of serving people with dedication and hard work.

Speaking to the members of the National Assembly belonging to the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Q and allied parties at the prime minister’s house, the premier expressed the hope that all the four provincial governments would also prove their capabilities by giving their people good governance.

Earlier, the coalition parliamentary group unanimously decided that the prime minister take the vote of confidence from the special session of the National Assembly on Dec 30, before he leaves for Saudi Arabia for performing Umra.

Jamali, it may be recalled, was elected to the chief executive office on Nov 21 last by a thin margin of one vote by polling 172 in the House of 342.

The parliamentary party meeting was convened at the time when the PML-Q had decided to move a no-confidence motion against party president Mian Mohammad Azhar but the decision was later rescinded as a result of high-level intervention on Wednesday.

The prime minister thanked the MNAs who had reposed confidence in his leadership and were again ready to participate in the vote of confidence.

Jamali assured them that his government would focus special attention on the uplift of far-flung areas of the country by improving the infrastructure facilities as a first step.
