LAHORE, Dec 12: An appellate bench of the Lahore High Court on Thursday granted bail before arrest to NAB accused Muratib Ali Shah of Faisalabad till Dec 19.
The bench also called for a reply from the National Accountability Bureau.
The petitioner submitted that Parco laid the underground pipeline for oil supply and paid damages to the landlord whose land was used for the purpose.
He submitted that his land was not acquired for the purpose but he received some amount on account of damages which was later returned. But the NAB authorities filed a reference against those involved in receiving false claims and included his name in the reference.
He submitted that the NAB has issued his warrants while he was not a defaulter.
He requested the court to grant him pre-arrest bail and restrain the NAB authorities from arresting him.
SUNDAS CASE: A division bench of the Lahore High Court issued on Thursday notices to former policemen involved in Sundas Farooq case.
Petitioner Sundas Farooq submitted that the accused policemen were booked after six years on the directions of the court and the case was sent to the Anti-Terrorism Court for trial.
She submitted that the LHC granted bail to both the accused. On the last hearing before the ATC, both the accused attacked and tortured her. She requested the court to cancel their bail.—APP
