KARACHI, Dec 10: Paris-based Eutelsat has launched a new satellite W5 Series to extend its coverage on Pakistan with the help of WorldTel MECA.

This was stated by head of sales and marketing (Middle East and Asia), David E.S. Robson, at a press conference on Tuesday at a local hotel.

The satellite provides KU-banned connectivity stretching from western Europe through the Middle East, central and south Asia, providing key services like video distribution, internet backbone activity and satellite news gathering.

One of the benefits is to provide cost effective solutions for Asian broadcasters eager to break into the European satellite and cable TV market, Robson said.
