BAHAWALPUR, Dec 10: President, Muslim Commercial Bank, Mohammed Aftab Manzoor, on Tuesday said MCB was playing pivotal role in the country’s economy and was diverting special attention towards the small towns along with big cities.

Presiding over the opening ceremony of newly-constructed MCB circle office and Model Town branch here, the MCB president said small and medium industries were the backbone of the economy and should be promoted and developed accordingly.

He said MCB would finance any viable industrial projects in Bahawalpur so that this area could be industrialized and the problem of unemployment could be solved.
