KARACHI, Dec. 5: Opener Tariq Haroon and paceman Iftikhar Ali played stellar role as Pakistan Cricket Club (PCC) annexed the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramzan tournament with a 19 runs victory over Rafiq Shirazi Memorial CC (RSMCC) in the final on Thursday.
Tariq smacked four boundaries and three sixes in his 55 ball 82, sharing 115 runs opening stand with Naeem Khan, who made 34.
Off-spinner Tahir Khan was the pick of RSMCC attack finishing with four wickets for 31 runs in five overs.
RSMCC in reply were bowled out for 164 in 24.2 overs. Zafar Ali hitting 34. Medium pacer Iftikhar snapped three wickets for 20 runs to cause slide in RSMCC batting.
Tariq was named man of the final. Arif Mahmood was named player of the tournament. Javed Mansoor was adjudged best batsman, Mohsin Akhtar was declared best bowler and Salim Rahim best fielder.
