ISLAMABAD, Dec 1: Pakistan’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Ali Sarwar Naqvi, has strongly rejected the baseless Indian allegation of some clandestine cooperation having developed between Pakistan and North Korea.
The Ambassador has reiterated Pakistan’s unequivocal commitment to non-transfer of nuclear technology and other sensitive material to other countries.
He has also drawn the attention of the international community to the strong export regime in place and the country’s impeccable record in this regard, according to a fax message received here from Vienna on Sunday.
Ambassador Naqvi also recalled India’s perfidious record of consistent violations of its international obligations with regard to non-proliferation of nuclear and biological weapons.
India had developed nuclear weapons in brazen breach of its safeguards agreements with certain countries, which had supplied it with nuclear technology for non-military purposes.
India was burdened with the responsibility of the nuclearization of South Asia and the proliferation of other weapons of mass destruction.
