KARACHI, Nov 21: Over 600 students of three schools in Hijrat Colony were screened and provided treatment, medicines etc at a two-day free eye screening camps organized by the Care and Kindness Society under its comprehensive school screening programme.
The students of St Michael’s School, Clifton, had generated the funds by holding various fund raising activities to sponsor the programme. The CKS also provided medication, spectacles etc at the camps held at Darul Binat Fellowship School, Tameer-i-Nau Fellowship School and Iqra Fellowship School.
The CKS says that one out of four children aged between five and 12 years has a vision problem that could affect their learning ability, personality development etc. Nearly 70 per cent of these diseases are curable if detected in time.
