HYDERABAD, Nov 13: The introductory meeting of the District Public Safety Commission was held here on Tuesday.

District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman presided over the meeting.

He urged members of the commission to work for the welfare of people.

DCO Mir Hussain Ali briefed the meeting about the working and responsibilities of the members of the commission and assured support from the administration.

The meeting was informed that two members could jointly visit police stations and check the record.

Later, ten members of the commission held a meeting and unanimously approved the name of Masood Pervez as the first chairperson of the commission.

They also nominated Syed Ali Raza Shah Latifi for the second term as the chairperson.

The election process of office-bearers will be finalized on Nov 14.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING: The principal of the Vocational Training Centre, Sanghar, has notified that forms for admissions in one-year electrician, auto mechanic and machinist courses can be submitted up to Dec 15.

The training will start from Jan 1.
