ISLAMABAD, Nov 12: Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP) starts making payments to the relieved officers under the voluntary golden handshake scheme after the completion of necessary formalities.
According to a Press release issued here on Tuesday, under the bank‘s voluntary golden handshake scheme, over 2000 employees had opted for retirement, out of which about 230 employees had been relieved of their services and the bank had made final payments to the relieved officers after following required procedure.
While the cases of remaining optees are under process, they would be paid their dues after necessary scrutiny of liabilities and dues.
The bank has also constituted a special committee to examine cases of all the optees and for this purpose under one window the Audit and Accounts personnel are busy in checking and clearance of cases.
Dispelling the impression that there is any hurdle in the payments, the press release said procedural requirements prior to final settlement of their dues took some time.
It further says the bank’s Golden Handshake Scheme, which is a part of restructuring plan to be funded by Asian Development Bank, provides handsome separation benefits to its employees and the payments are being made after necessary scrutiny through one window set up for speedy disposal of cases.
