Balochistan cabinet resigns

QUETTA, Nov 5: The seven-member Balochistan cabinet resigned here on Tuesday after attending the last cabinet meeting here on Tuesday.

All the ministers submitted their resignations to Governor Amirul Mulk Mengal who presided over the meeting.

The governor, however, asked the ministers to continue to work till the formation of new government in the province.

Those who tendered resignation included Malik Naeem Ahmed, Agha Abdul Zahir, Mir Hussain Bukhsh Bangulzai, Sardar Mehdi Hassan Musa, Qasim Khan Achakzai, Sardar Mohammad Ali Jogezai and Mrs Roshan Khurshid Buracha.

Speaking on the occasion, the governor lauded the performance of cabinet members. He said the members performed their duties with devotion and dedication for the speedy development of this backward province and resolving the problems of the people.

He said due to the excellent working of the cabinet ministers his government succeeded in providing a relief to the masses.

The governor said that his government launched a large number of development projects in different areas of the province and many of them had been completed.

Mengal also appreciated the performance of the provincial chief secretary and other government functionaries.

Earlier, the cabinet approved a special Ramazan allowance of Rs200 for the government employees in grade one to four.

All employees in these grades would receive this allowance during Ramazan.
