HYDERABAD, Nov 1: The adviser to the ministry of commerce, Akhtar Mehmood, has said that to strengthen Pakistan’s foreign trade, it is necessary for us to abide by the World Trade Organization’s rules and regulations.
He was speaking at a seminar organized by the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the WTO wing of the ministry of commerce on “Trade policy dialogue and the WTO” here the other day.
Briefing the businessmen about the working of the WTO, Mehmood said that the WTO had drafted 18 agreements to resolve the problems of international trade, as it had become too complex due to increasing competition in the world market.
