KARACHI, Oct 29: The University of Karachi on Tuesday declared the results of BA (pass) first and second year (overseas) external annual examinations 2001.
In the first year, some 49 candidates had registered themselves, of whom 48 appeared in the exams and 47 got through, with a pass percentage of 97.9.
In the first and second years, 31 candidates registered themselves, of whom 30 appeared in the exams. About 23 candidates were declared pass — 14 in first and nine in second division. The pass percentage remained 83.3.
REGISTRATION: Giving yet another chance for registration of BA, BCom, BoL, BSc and improvement of division for external annual examinations 2002, the KU has said that registration forms could be submitted from Oct 30 to Nov 4 with Rs1,000 as a late fee.
Registration forms are available at the NBP and UBL counters at the main KU gate, which need to be endorsed by the registration (external) unit at the silver jubilee gate.
The examination fee being accepted till Nov 4 is Rs400 and till Nov 6 it will be Rs600.
EXAM SCHEDULE: The Dean, Faculty of Science, KU, has announced the examination schedule for BSc (hons and subs) students of first and second years 2nd semester 2002.
The examinations of first year science students would commence on Nov 15, and conclude on Dec 11, whereas second semester examinations of second year students would begin on Nov 16 and conclude on Dec 11. — PPI
