PESHAWAR, Oct 28: The law enforcement agencies personnel have been deployed at certain points in the province and the adjoining tribal areas to check kidnappings and other anti-social activities.

This was stated at a meeting held here on Monday with Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah in the chair, said a statement.

“Whoever challenges the writ of the government must be dealt with under the law,” the governor said, adding that criminal elements deserved no concession.

The meeting also reviewed efforts being put in for poppy eradication.

The governor directed the concerned administrations and the law enforcement agencies to coordinate their efforts and take action against the poppy growers.
