ISLAMABAD, Oct 20: The RAW activists are engaged in a number of activities in Nepal to malign Pakistan and draw some sort of credibility to the Indian claims of “cross-border” terrorism, a report said here.
On Oct 1, 2002, a mob of about 50 persons organized a protest rally in front of the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal.
They were protesting against Pakistan’s alleged involvement in recent attack on a Hindu temple in Gujarat. They were holding banners, raising slogans against Pakistan and tried to pelt the embassy with stones as well. Video movies and still photographs were also taken.
Towards the end, a letter of protest was also handed over to the embassy staff. An effort by the demonstrators to enter the embassy was foiled by the Nepali police.
This demonstration was arranged by Pashtupati Sena of Nepal, which is an offshoot of Nepal Shiv Sena, both known to be organised and financed by India through RAW.
This is not the first time that Pashtupati Sena involved itself in anti-Pakistan activities.
In the year 2002, it held anti-Pakistan demonstrations twice, in almost a similar manner, under one pretext or the other having no direct relevance with Nepal or its people.
The report said that it is definitely an attempt of RAW agents, based in Indian Embassy at Kathmandu.
According to the report, they will try to stage-manage some more such-like events, sit calls and even strike calls, basically with two aims at hand.
Firstly, they would like to create an agenda point for forthcoming visit by the Nepali King or the prim minister.—APP
Secondly, the videos and snaps of such demonstration may be used in international media, in order to malign Pakistan; and draw some sort of credibility to the Indian claims of cross-border terrorism, it said. —APP
