2 MPAs-elect join MMA

HARIPUR, Oct 20: Two newly-elected members of the provincial assembly from Haripur announced their joining of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), raising its strength to 50 in the 124-member house.

Raja Faisal Zaman, son of former NWFP chief minister Raja Sikandar Zaman, who was elected as an independent candidate from PF-49, Haripur-I, announced his joining of Jamaat-i-Islami.

Akhtar Nawaz Khan, who was also elected as an independent candidate from PF-51, Haripur-III, announced his joining of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan of Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani at a press conference here on Sunday.
