SUKKUR, Oct 20: A man was killed and several were injured in a clash between Bugti and Jakhrani tribesmen in Lal Khan Jakhrani village near Kandhkot on Saturday night.
Ten houses of the Jakhranis were also damaged and about ten cattle heads were also killed in the clash, in which rockets, hand grenades and other weapons were used.
The deceased was identified as Nandoo Jakhrani, 30.
The clash was the result of an ongoing dispute between the two tribes over a piece of land. Twelve persons of both the tribes have been killed in the dispute for the last two years.
Earlier, a jirga (tribal court) was held to settle the dispute but its verdict could not be implemented as a result 25 Bugti tribesmen attacked Lal Khan Jakhrani village.
HIJACKED: Bandits took away two tractors on Saturday after intense firing with automatic weapons Mohammad Yousuf village near Thul in Jacobabad district on Saturday.
Police said some 25 armed bandits had attacked the village, which is the native town of the taluka Nazim, Muhammad Yousuf.
