BEIJING, Oct 19: Pakistani financial experts are prepared to join hands with their Chinese friends to develop a scandal-free management system.

The two countries could also cooperate in enhancing their professional skills in the field of accountancy.

This was stated by the leader of Pakistan delegation of Chartered Accountants Mujahid Eshai, while addressing the second international seminar on ‘Accounting Theory and Practices ‘, here on Saturday.

The seminar, arranged by China National Accounting Institute, was addressed, among others, by the Deputy Head of Pakistan Mission in Beijing Syed Hasan Javed. The Pakistan delegation attending the seminar included Ejaz Hussain Rathore, C.A. Habib, A. Hameed Chaudhry and Fahim Abdul Rauf.

Mujahid Eshai said Pakistan has developed a sound credible financial system of international level to make the society free of financial bungling and irregularities. The country, he added has also achieved a high degree of financial skill in account and audit management.

Pakistan has achieved a position to help China and other countries to maintain a good accountancy system and overcome certain shortcomings in the financial sector, he added.

Syed Hasan Javed said Pakistan Chartered Accountants have built up professional calibre and enjoyed rich potential to help their Chinese friends set up a sound financial system.

He pointed out that Pakistan’s Audit and Account services have for many years handled accounts of UN system. He underlined the need of developing close linkage among the professionals of the two countries for mutual benefit. He said the Pakistani professionals could provide an excellent job providing training to their Chinese friends.

Ejaz Hussain Rathore told APP that his company was already extending consultancy service to the Chinese counterparts. He expressed the hope that the visit would help find out new avenues of cooperation. He said the private sectors of the two countries should come forward to achieve greater competency and know-how in the field of accountancy.—APP
