LARKANA, Oct 17: The general body of the Pakistan Medical Association, Larkana chapter, on Thursday rejected the proposed board of governors for running hospital affairs.

Speaking at a meeting, PMA president Dr Ikram Tunio and general-secretary Dr Waheed Memon and others termed the step anti-doctors.

The meeting also criticized the privatization of hospitals and demanded house job doctors of Sindh be paid their salaries.

The PMA also demanded to regularize doctors working on contract in Sindh.

Meanwhile, doctors, responding to the call of the PMA, wore black arm-bands and hoisted black flags on hospitals. They demanded to remove the Punjab health secretary.
