KARACHI, Oct 5: The chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Altaf Hussain, has warned the Urdu and Sindhi-speaking people of Sindh to see through the game of establishment which was trying to sabotage the unity of the two communities.

Making a telephonic address simultaneously at the Memon Goth and Larkana on Friday night, he asked the people to ponder as to why Sindh could not progress though there were many Sindhis who became prime ministers and chief ministers.

He said those who wanted to retain Sindh as their colony were creating confusion in the minds of the people by propagating a false propaganda against him and the Muttahida.

Mr Hussain alleged that Sindh had been betrayed by waderas and the oppressive establishment in the name of federation and democracy.

He said despite operation against the MQM, its activists and leaders did not succumb to pressure but many PPP leaders changed the loyalty soon after he was executed.

Mr Hussain reiterated the MQM’s demand for provincial autonomy in accordance with 1940 resolution and said the present struggle could not be scuttled.
