DHAKA, Sept 30: Seven Arab nationals who were arrested on Sept 23 on suspicion of links with militants abroad, were released by a court here on Monday.

The seven are Abu Nujaid of Libya, Sadek Al Nasami, Abu Salam, Abu Umaiya and Abul Abbas of Yemen, Abu Ashem of Algeria and Hasan Adam of Sudan.

They are members of a Saudi-based NGO, Al Hermann Foundation, that runs several orphanages in different part of Bangladesh.

The Chief Metropolitan Court in Dhaka ordered their release on bail as the police failed to substantiate any of the allegations against them.
