Sindh chief secretary K.B. Rind and DCO Karachi Shafiqur Rehman Paracha on Sunday visited the sites of the projects. Mr Rind instructed the DCO to ensure that all impediments are removed for the timely completion of the projects.

He underscored the exigency for evolving an effective system for removal of all the construction materials from the site following their completion as they created hardships to citizens.

The chief secretary called for expediting the pace of development works to benefit all segments of society. He was informed that an amount of Rs9.5 million was also being spent on a one-kilometre road extension project in the area which would connect Orangi and Baldia Towns. — PPI
