PESHAWAR, Sept 27: The Central Secretary General of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) and PML(N) candidate from NA-4, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, has said that his party would continue its struggle for the restoration of democracy.

Addressing a public meeting at Pir Bala Kakar in the suburbs of Peshawar on Thursday, he said that some elements had been changing their political loyalties for their personal gains. He was confident that the people would reject such turncoats at the elections.

He said the people of the NWFP could not be fooled by false promises. They knew full well who had ditched them for their personal gain in the past.

He claimed the PML(N) was the only political force which raised voice for the common man. He was confident the people would once again vote in favour of PML(N) in the upcoming polls.

Meanwhile, the PML(N) candidate for NA-15, Karak, Rahmat Salam Khattak said that it went to PML(N)’s credit that it opposed the “unconstitutional” and “unlawful” policies of the regime and did not compromise on its principled stand, a press release said.

Addressing a meeting, he said his party had worked for the benefit of the underdeveloped areas. He said the previous PML government constructed Indus Highway and Kohat Tunnel. He appealed to the people to vote in the October election in favour of PML(N).
