BAHAWALPUR, Sept 19: Maulana Masood Azhar, the chief of banned Jihadi outfit Jaish-i-Muhammad, has not been shifted to his house from the New Central Jail.
The Maulana, facing trial for making a provocative speech, was granted bail by the Dera Ghazi Khan additional district and sessions judge on Sept 16. The home department ordered his detention for 90 days at his Kausar Colony house the same day.
Jail officials said they were waiting for the home department’s to shift the Maulana to his house.

A directive to this effect was issued by the Bahawalpur additional SP on Wednesday.
The Punjab governor has also called a report from the official concerned.
HANGED: The convicted killer of a DIG of police was hanged at the New Central Jail here on Thursday.
Driver Ahmed Hasan had shot dead Bahawalpur Range DIG Malik Ashraf Awan on June 10, 1999. He was taking the DIG to Rahim Yar Khan in the official car.
The body was handed over to his family members who were present outside the jail.
