WASHINGTON, Sept 16: In a change of tactics, US air forces are targeting buildings and other fixed targets in Iraq an effort to cause more lasting damage to Iraqi air defences, US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said Monday.

Rumsfeld said he ordered the change in tactics earlier this year because US and British pilots were coming under more effective fire from Iraqi gunners.—AFP
