Pakistan name two new faces for Asiad

KARACHI, Sept 12: Pakistan Amateur Boxing Federation (PABF) Thursday included two new faces when it named 10-member squad for Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, from Sept 29 to Oct 14.

Squad, which also has Commonwealth Games gold medallist Haider Ali, has been picked by Cuban national coach, Renaldo Alveraz, in consultation with three local coaches.

Light-flyweight Imran Hafeez and bantamweight Abid Ali will be making their international debut at the Games.

The squad, training at National Sports Training and Coaching Centre, will fly to Islamabad Sept 14 and leaves for Busan Sept 24 at 11.45am.

Imran Hafeez (Light-flyweight), Noman Karim (flyweight), Abid Ali (bantamweight), Haider Ali (featherweight), Mazhar Hussain (lightweight), Asghar Ali Shah (light-welterweight), Kashif Mumtaz (light-middleweight) Ahmad Ali Khan (middleweight), Shaukat Ali (heavyweight), Mirza Muzaffar Iqbal (super-heavyweight).
