UNITED NATIONS, Sept 12: Hundreds of anti-war demonstrators held rallies in front of the UN headquarters on Thursday as US President George Bush presented his case to the UN general assembly against Iraq.

Chanting slogans like “Let Iraq Live”, a mostly peaceful crowd carried several placards protesting Bush’s speech.

Police were present in strong numbers for any eventuality.
