ISLAMABAD, Sept 8: The Pakistan Peoples Party condemns the action taken by Rangers against the teachers and students of Karachi University, the former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, said in a statement on Sunday.

Several KU teachers, students and staff were injured when the rangers beat them up on the campus.

The former PM said she was pained at the indiscriminate use of force against the daughters and sons of our soil.

“Following the murder of farmers in the Okara military farm, this is the second serious confrontation between the armed forces and the people at a time when our soldiers sit on the borders in a state of high alert”.

“The teachers are the real heroes and heroines of our country who work tirelessly to promote knowledge and equip our country to escape the shackles of ignorance and superstition”.
