KARACHI, Sept 5: Sir Syed Girls College won the Karachi University inter-collegiate handball tournament when they defeated Faculties 5-4 in a low-scoring final Wednesday.

Shabana Ismail scored two goals and Nadia Ismail and Rehana Ismail one apiece. Saher and Ghazala scored two goals each for Faculties.

In the boys basketball tournament at KU Gymnasium, Islamia College beat Jinnah College 16-14. Murtuza scored ten points and Ajmal six for winners. Munawar (8) and Furqan (6) played well for losers.

The judo/karate event which was to start at Sindh Sports Board Complex from Friday will now be held at same venue from Saturday.—APP
