According to the manifesto of the alliance which is yet to be made public, the population of a province/region as well as its income, development needs, relative backwardness and financial discipline will be taken into account while distributing state resources.
The Alliance would work to strengthen provincial autonomy, establish just relations between the provinces and the Federation and promote inter-provincial harmony.
To solve water shortages in all the provinces, Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Northern Areas, a fair and equitable distribution of water will be accompanied by water-saving schemes and new dams that would be built with the consensus of the people.
The Alliance leaders believe that the people of Pakistan are groaning under the spectre of creeping poverty as their rights have been usurped by mafias and dishonest ruling elites. A fair accountability process will be initiated in all sectors of society.
Admitting that all social and economic development indicators reveal the miserable plight of the people, the Alliance promises a national and international movement against corruption in government and society to ensure that all unfairly accumulated assets whether in the country or abroad are confiscated and brought back in the service of the people.
Saying that the flawed system of governance that is currently in vogue has failed to deliver and made the people lose faith in the judicial system, the Alliance would work to establish and nourish the necessary ingredients of true democracy by empowering the people through devolution of power to the grass roots and decentralization.
Necessary structural reforms will be introduced to reverse the trend of growing poverty and raise the economic, social and living standard of our citizens.
Saying that intolerance and sectarianism stalk our land and we have strayed far from the great humanitarian message and practice of Islam, the manifesto promises pristine, humanitarian and knowledge-based message of Islam becoming the source of inspiration for citizens truly and practically .
Supremacy of law will be ensured to empower the commoners and restore their dignity.
The alliance will work for “freedom laws”, which will ensure that citizens have easy access to any information about a transparent decision-making process of the government. Women will be provided their due rights and opportunity to play a positive role in the development of Pakistan.
A major movement will be launched to eradicate illiteracy and establish a knowledge-based society.
A pragmatic foreign policy will be pursued to safeguard Pakistan’s strategic and economic interests.
