Papers of two candidates for NA-12 rejected

SWABI, Sept 2: Nomination papers of two NA-12, Swabi-I, candidates were rejected on Monday, while 108 candidates were cleared to contest the upcoming polls on two National Assembly and six  provincial assembly seats as scrutiny of papers finished here.

The District Coordination Officer (DCO), who is also the returning officer for NA-12, rejected the papers of PPP candidate, Maj Abid Hussain (retd) and another former army serviceman, Zar  Mohammad, citing that the required two-year period had not been completed after their retirement.

Candidates, who have filed nomination papers to contest the October polls from NA-12, Swabi-I are: Mohammad Usman advocate (MMA), Sheharyar Khan, Ahmad Ayaz and Ali Yar Khan (ANP), Iftikhar Ahmed Khan advocate of (PML-N), Col (retd) Shamsul Akbar (Independent candidate), Khalid Jehangir  (PML-Z), Arshad Ali Advocate (Pakhtoonkhwa  Milli  Awami Party), Khairul Amin (Pakhtoonkhwa Qaumi Party), Mohammad  Sher Khan Advocate (PML-QA) and Amjad Khan of PML-QA.

Dildar Khan and Ibrar Khan of PML (N) have been fielded as alternative candidates  while Saleem Iqbal, Shamsul Akbar and Mohammad Afsar will contest election as independent candidates.

The following candidates have filed nomination papers to contest polls from NA-13, Swabi-II: Iftikhar Ahmed Khan (PML-N) and his brother Liaqat Ahmad Khan (PML-N), Mohammad Sadiq Khan (ANP), Maulana Khalil  Ahmed  (MMA)  Dr Mohammad  Saleem  (Independent)  Prof Munawar  Khan (NAPP) Mohammad Javed Khan (PML-QA), Fazal Wadood (PPP-S), Asad Qaiser (Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf) and Abdul Asad (PPP).

Similarly, for PF-31, Swabi-I, Dr Saleem (Independent) Aman  Khan (ANP) and Mohammad Zarshed as alternative candidate, Mohammad Ali (MMA), Dildar Khan (PML-N), Javed Iqbal Inqilabi (PPP) and Sikender Sher   as cover candidate, Akhtar Ali (PTI) while independent  candidates include: Ibrar Khan, Mohammad Zaeen Khan, Mian Jan and Sarzamin Khan.

Candidates for PF-32, Swabi-II are: Amir Rehman and  Col (retd)  Hidayatullah (ANP), Col (retd) Shamsul Akbar (Independent), Asad Ali (PML-QA), Umera Khan (MMA), Jehanzeb Bahadur (PPP-S), Arshad Ali (PMAP), Khairul Amin (PQP), Iftikhar Hussain Khan, Salim Iqbal and Samiullah (PPP), Afsar Ali (PML-N), and Ghani Mohammad (PTI). Shuakat Ali and Mohammad Ibrahim will contest elections as independent candidates.

Mukhtiar Ali (ANP) , Mian  Wasimuddin (PLM-N)  Awal  Sher  Khan (Independent), Mohammad  Amin (MMA), Mohammad Sher Khan (PML-QA) Ali Khan (PPP), Mohammad Yunis (PTI) and Safir Ullah (Independent) will contest the polls from PF-33, Swabi-III.

Abdul Majid Khan and Mohammad Ayaz Khan (MMA), Raees Khan (ANP)  and Mohammad Riaz as alternative candidate, Shaukat Ali (PML-QA), Sajjad Aamir (PML-N), Abdul Aziz Bacha, Prof Munawar Khan (NAPP), and Sardar Ali (PPP-S) from PF-34, Swabi-IV.

Fakhar Zaman and Sher  Ahmed  Khan  (ANP), Sajad Ahmed (PML-QA), Iftikhar Ahmed Khan and his brother Liaqat Ahmed  Khan, Sami Ullah and Mohammad Idrees Khan of PML-N, Fazal Wadood Khan (PPP-S), Khanzada Abdul Hafeez and Dilnawaz Khan (PPP), Maulana Fazal Ali (MMA), Asad  Qaiser (PTI), Mohammad Zahoor (NAPP), Dr Mohammad Usman (Independent), Raziq Dad (PAP) will contest election from PF-35, Swabi-V while independent  candidates from the same constituency are Abdul Rehman Khan, Ishaq Ahmed, Mohammad Azam Khan and Gul Mast Khan.

Candidates for PF-36 Swabi-VI are: Aamir Syed and Ishfaq Ahmad (PML-N), Mohammad Israr Advocate (Independent), Sarfaraz Khan and Mohammad Zahid (ANP), Mohammad Jamil (MMA), Mohammad Ali and  Zarshed  Khan, Parvez Khan (PPP-S), Salim Khan (PTI) and Mohammad Israr and Abdul Asad (PPP), while the independent candidates  are  Ishfaq Ahmed, Waris Khan  Mohammad Amin, Abdur Rehman Afsar Zaman, Mohammad Bashiruddin, Nisar Mohammad and Dil Nawaz Khan.
