HYDERABAD, Aug 31: A division bench of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit, here on Friday directed a petitioner woman to seek bail for her son from the concerned trial court, after the Market police informed the court that the detained person for which the raid was conducted by a high court official, was arrested by them in two separate cases under section 13-D of the Arms Ordinance and 20-Haraba. The petition was accordingly disposed of.
The Police officials of the Market, Kotri and Tando Yusuf police stations, including Fazal Zardari, Amir Hafeez Kakakhel, Yaqub Barroro and Shafiqur Rehman, were present in the court, as the bench comprising Justice Mohammad Moosa K Leghari and Justice Zia Pervez, had directed the police to produce Shamusuddin Junejo, a detainee and the son of petitioner woman, Ms Sahat Bibi, before the court on Friday.
The Sub-inspector investigation, Fazal Zardari, who appeared before the court alongwith Assistant Advocate General, Sindh, Masood A.Noorani, told the court that the detainee for which the directives were issued was arrested by the Market police on Thursday-Friday night, in two separate cases.
The Market police officials claimed that the weapon was also recovered from the accused. The court said that the accused was free to seek bail from the concerned court.
The petitioner had claimed that on August 18, her sons, Shamsuddin, Zahid Hussain, Riaz Hussain and the husband, Muhammad Hashim, were picked-up by the investigation officer, Fazal Zardari, and were taken to the Tando Yousuf police station.
She said that in another raid at the residence of her son, Zafar Ali Junejo, the police picked-up Kamran Naqvi and Nisar Ahmed Junejo.
A court official had raided the Kotri police station and recovered Kamran Naqvi and Nisar Ahmed Junejo, but Shamsuddin was neither found at Kotri nor at Tando Yusuf police station.
