KARACHI: Hearing put off in suicide bomb case

KARACHI, Aug. 31: The hearing in US Consulate suicide bombing case was adjourned till Sept 5 by Syed Aley Maqbool Rizvi, Judge Anti-Terrorism Court A&C-I on Monday.

The adjournment came as the judge could not reach the court established in Central Prison Karachi for lack of security arrangements, Raza Abidi, counsel for one of the accused, told APP.

Raza said when he and Abdul Waheed Katpar reached the CPK, the jail authorities informed that proceedings have been adjourned.

Imran and Hanif of Harkatul Mujahideen Al-Alami, their financer Ashraf and inspector Waseem Akhtar are facing trial in the case.
