KARACHI, Aug 28: The Students’ Alliance, an association of six student groups at the University of Karachi, on Wednesday urged all political parties to take up the proposed university ordinance and raise their voice against recommendations of the task force on higher education.

The alliance leaders at an emergency meeting, headed by its president Osama Shafique, reviewed the decision of establishing governing boards to run the affairs of public sector universities and termed it an attempt to destroy democratic culture in the higher education institutions.— PPI
