HYDERABAD, Aug 27: A division bench of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, on Monday has imposed a fine of Rs10,000 on an investigation sub-inspector of police of the Kunri police station for keeping two people in wrongful detention.
The detenues were found in illegal confinement during a raid by the deputy registrar of the Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, Ghulam Mustafa Channa, on Friday.
The court ordered that the copy of the order should be sent to the district police officer, Mirpurkhas, for necessary action and the report of the DPO’s inquiry should be submitted to the additional registrar within three months.
The raid was conducted under the directives of the bench comprising Justice Mohammad Moosa K. Leghari and Justice Zia Pervez.
