CSC, ACC triumph

KARACHI, Aug 26: Cantt Sports Club (CSC) and All Collegiate Club (ACC) won their pool-3 matches in the Independence Day Basketball Tournament at Arambagh floodlit court Sunday night.

CSC overpowered Patrician Nets 55-53 after an enthralling encounter to secure a place in elite group-4 to join the top teams for a major honors.

Noman and Muzzamil Khan starred in their team’s success by contributing 16 and 12 points.

In the other match of the night, ACC improved their chances for a place in pool-4 when they beat DC Central 31-26.

Earlier Saturday night Patrician Stars beat Dow Club 58-36 with Aamir and Darryl Richard scoring 18 and 12 points respectively.

DC Central beat Karachi Youth Club 56-52 after a keenly contested tie. Rizwan scored 24 points but failed to save his team from defeat.

In another match ACC beat St.Lawrence 37-32. Dr Adnan Tariq topscored with 14. Clint Lucas scored 12 for losers.
