The school — which was launched in June 1967 as the Rahbar-i-Millat school — located in Sector 5-G of New Karachi, was renamed as the Town Committee School. Presently, five schools are functional in the same premises in two different shifts.
One can see that the school is in a dilapidated condition — a real eye-sore for students. Many of the rooms lack colour, furniture, doors, windows, a concrete roof and electricity supply.
The education authorities — out of routine — announce every year before the summer vacations that the school buildings would be repaired and whitewashed during the two month long vacations. But these changes never same to take place, as students return to the same old ruined premises.
