LAHORE, Aug 22: Six independent candidates, including a woman, filed their nomination papers for the October polls before the Returning Officers (ROs) on Thursday.

Mian Rafi Khawar, Sarfraz Khan, Dr Allaudin Chaudhry, Haji Gulraiz Ahmad Khan, Zafarullah Khan and Rubina Shaheen submitted their nominations for NA-118, NA-125, NA-127, PP-139, PP-141 and PP-142 respectively. Rafi Khawar also submitted papers for PP-138. Not a single candidate of any political party has submitted papers so far while the tally of independent candidates submitting papers during the first three days has gone to nine.
