LAHORE, Aug 22: Mian Azhar has sent a telegram to the Chief Election Commissioner requesting him that the date for filing the nomination papers should be extended to Aug 28.

PML(QA) sources said on Thursday that most of the candidates would not be in a position to meet all formalities of the nomination papers if the date was not extended.

The party will issue the list of its candidates in the light of response it receives from the CEC.

In case the request is granted, the party will get some more time to select its candidates or make adjustments with other parties.
