The Indian army claimed killing 10 Mujahideen in four separate clashes that on Monday night along the Line of Control (LoC).
An army spokesman said the clashes occurred in Pindi Gali, a mountain pass along the LoC, Ratigali and Kandoor — all in Kupwara district.
“A large amount of arms and ammunition including wireless sets have been recovered from them. This gives a lie to the claim from the other side that there is no infiltration,” the spokesman added.
On Tuesday an Indian army colonel and soldier died after a bomb blast in the Marmat area of Doda district, 180km north of occupied Jammu, police said. Another soldier was wounded.
The bomb struck an army patrol on a hill track.
