LONDON, Aug 20: An explosion destroyed part of an apartment block in Moscow on Tuesday and preliminary reports said there were casualties, the BBC quoted Itar-Tass news agency as saying.

“According to preliminary reports, part of the building has been destroyed and there are casualties,” Itar-Tass reported.
