KARACHI, Aug 20: Sydney Olympian Khurram Inam of Pakistan just missed bronze medal and had to be content with fourth position in the skeet event of Asian Clay Shooting Championship in Bangkok (Thailand) which concluded Tuesday.
According to information available here, Khurram, a Commonwealth Shooting Skeet Championship record holder, finished fourth behind marksmen from Korea, Kazakhstan and China.
Bespectacled Khurram fired the rounds of 23, 14, 22, 24, 23 to finish with 116 out of score of 125 and qualified for the finals alongwith six other sharp shooters.
The Pakistani shot the round of 23 in the finals and placed fourth overall with a score of 139/150.
Around 80 shooters representing 13 countries from all over the continent featured in the championship.
Khurram, who narrowly missed Commonwealth Games skeet squad, had already assured a place in the Pakistan shooting contingent for 14th Asian Games being held in Busan (South Korea) from Sept 29. Pakistan shooting team is expected to be announce soon.—APP
