Taimur strikes it rich with 7-goal

LAHORE, Nov 7: Taimur Mawaz Khan scored seven goals, including a  hat trick, to carry Ist Law Company to a facile 9-4  win  over Kashmirian in the November Cup Polo Tournament at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground Wednesday.

Hussain  Iftikhar  scored last three goals for  Data  Textile, which  constituted a hat trick, to take his team to a  convincing win over Gladiators by five goals to one-and-a-half (5—1 1/2) in second match of the day.

Taimur dominated the  game  throughout. He scored first two field goals of the first chukker. His teammate Faisal Ejaz scored his only goal  for Ist  Law  Company  before the end of the  first  chukker.

Taimur scored  two goals, one after the other, by converting 30  yards penalty-hits,  towards  the  end of the second  chukker  and  the beginning  of the third chukkers. He completed his hat trick with a field goal in the third chukker.

He was at his best in this chukker as he added his sixth  and  seventh goal on field efforts before its conclusion.

For Law Company, Raja Amir Khan scored its ninth goal, which was last of the match. Maula Bux and Adnan Lone scored  two goals each for Kashmirians.

Gladiators enjoyed half-a-goal’s advantage on the handicap and could  put  in only one goal. Captain Shaukat Malik  scored  that goal on 40 yards penalty-hit at beginning of the match.

Faaiz  Rahim struck for Data Textile before end of  the  first chukker.

Pervez Gulzar scored Data Textile team’s second goal at  start of the second chukker. Iftikhar Hussain scored his first goal  in second  chukker on a field effort. Iftikhar scored only  goal  of third chukker on a 60 yards penalty-hit and of the fourth chukker on  a  40 yards penalty-hit to complete his  hat trick.
