KARACHI, Aug 19: An eight-member election board of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday started interviews with candidates aspiring to contest the coming general elections from its platform at its headquarters in Azizabad.

According to a news release, the MQM had asked its supporters wishing to contest general elections to apply either by sending their applications through ordinary mail or by putting them in boxes placed outside its headquarters.

Only those MQM supporters were asked to apply who fulfilled the criteria set by the election commission for contesting the elections.—PPI
